He was born in Marshall, Mi. and graduated from Albion College, Mi in 1927. He Attended University of Michigan from 1934-38. receiving his master degree.
From 1927-1929 he taught in Fenton, Mi. He came to Albion, Mi.,in 1932 and served as a junior high school coach until 1942. Then, for six years, he was a junior high school teacher and recreation director.
He was named principal of Washington Gardner High School in Albion, Mi in 1955- 1966. when he was named federal projects food service director for the school system, he retired 1969.
Memeber of the Albion United Methodist Church, Albion Rotary Club, Elks Lodge, Duck Lake Country Club, Delta Tay Delta fraternity and Boosters and Knockers Club.
