Mrs. Beyer was born in Germany on Sept. 18, 1842, and came to America in 1850. In 1865 she married Thomas Beyer, and they settled at Mt. Calvary, Fond du Lac county. There Mr. Beyer died in 1904. Mrs. Beyer was truly a noble woman, a good wife and mother, and a true Christian. Her life was well spent, in noble acts and the kindest of deeds, and her memory will be cherished long by those who had the good fortune of having become acquainted with her. Mrs. Beyer died at 5 o’clock in the morning. Just with the awakening life of a new day she went to sleep like a tired child. It was just as the birds caroled the coming of the morning and just as the rosy fingers of the orb of day tinted the eastern sky with a sheen of glory - surely a most fitting time for a pure spirit to take its flight heavenward. She lived a long and useful life, and was honored, trusted and loved by all who knew her, and her many friends extremely regret her death. Her funeral services were held in St. Michael’s church on Wednesday at 10 o’clock, solemn requiem mass being read for the repose of her soul. After these services the remains were taken to Mt. Calvary, and there on Thursday funeral services were held in Holy Cross church, after which interment was made in Holy Cross cemetery. To the bereaved sons we extend our heartfelt sympathy.
