Leonardo, a lifelong resident of Dixon, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe. He was predeceased by his parents Ismael and Juanita V. Martinez; children Helen and Manuela; and paternal grandfather Aniceto Martinez.
Leonardo was survived by his wife Juanita Martinez of the home; 3 children: Victor of Albuquerque; Henry of San Antonio, Texas; and Nora Blanco of Dixon; 3 brothers: Leopoldo of Dixon; Guadalupe and Antonio of Santa Maria, California; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. Funeral services were held 19 Dec 1983 at the church in Apodaca. Burial followed in the Apodaca Cemetery. Pallbearers: Eli Martinez, Eppie Martinez, Matthew Duran, Robert Martinez, Aaron Martinez, and Julian Duran.
