*** Private Brown was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. On April 5, 1966, he was drowned while crossing a stream in South Vietnam. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
