Ole M. Holman
Ole M. Holman was born in Bergen, Norway, April 21, 1851. He came to America with his parents at the age of six. They settled in Dubuque, Iowa.
In the year 1870 they moved to Owatonna, Minn. He was then united in marriage to Hanna Elizabeth Sampson. To this union eight children were born. Clara Pratt, Lena Hemmingway, Louis, Casper, and Carl all of Waubay. Martha Moss of Webster and Martin of Bristol where Mr. Holman made his home for the past four years until he passed away Sunday, Feb. 13th at 4:40 P.M. ["1949" hand written]
He leaves to mourn his passing away three daughters, his mother, two sisters, and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. His wife and one daughter preceded him in death. Mr. Holman passed away at the age of 97 years 10 months and 13 days.
Remains were laid to rest beside his wife and daughter in Lakewood Cemetery on Feb. 17, 1949. Rev. Borg-Breen officiated the funeral service which was held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. E.S. Vic giving a few remarks.
