Conrad Moehling, a pioneer resident of this area, died suddenly December 4 at the age of 89 years at the home of his son, William, 358 E. Chicago ave., Palatine. He was in apparent good health until his death.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed church December 7 with Rev. Glenn G. Gumm, officiating. Interment was in South Side cemetery.
Deceased was born in Indiana April 27, 1864, the son of Henry and Katherine Moehling. He spent his boyhood in Elk Grove township and was confirmed in St. John church April 11, 1878.
He married Miss Dorothea Schroeder February 6, 1890. They began farming on Dundee rd., remaining there 32 years and moved to 223 N. Benton, Palatine in 1922. Mrs. Moehling died March 5, 1952.
There remain three sons, William, Henry and Alfred; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. William A. Meyer, Arlington Heights.
