Mr. Chandler, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on October 13, 1961 after a long illness. Services were held at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with burial following in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Winn Parish. Mr. Chandler was a lifelong resident of the Bethlehem Community.
Survivors include his son George E. Chandler, age 13, and daughter Jimmie K. Chandler, age 11, his father George A. Chandler, brother Clarence N. Chandler, half-brother W. Marvin Chandler and half-sister Lillian Chandler Camp. He is preceded in death by his mother Mittie V. Chandler and brother Lee A. Chandler.
