George Acord, son of Micheal Acord, died at his home in Walnut Township on February 21, 1910. He was 17 years, 11 months and 21 days old, having been born in Crawford County, Ill. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Phillips of the Minco Baptist church and interment at Hazel Dell cemetery on Feb 22. George was an upright, honest and obedient young man and was respected by all who knew him. His death was the result of tuberculosis.
