Fred Udseth, 71, Fergus Falls, died Monday, July 14, at the Broen Memorial Home. Services will be Thursday, July 17, at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls, with the Rev. Dennis Brovold, officiating. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens.
The son of Paul and Anna (Ronning) Udseth, he was born June 6, 1909, in Norway. On Oct. 5, 1931, he married Gladys Lillian Jorgens, He worked as an electrician with Hintgen-Karst Co., Fergus Falls, prior to joining Otter Tail Power in 1950. In 1974, he retired.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Haagenson of Pomona, Calif., Betty Jennen of Moorhead, and Mrs. Harlan (Marlys) Pikop of Fergus Falls; a son, Dwaine of Waukegan, 111.; a brother, Arthur, of Sylmar, Calif.; four sisters, Olga Jorgensen of Amboy, Wash., Agnes Meyer of Westminster, Calif., Mabel Bacon of Depoe Bay, Ore., and Astrid Jensen of Ashby; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. at the Glende-Johnson-Nelson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
