Mary Ruth Maze passed away Sept. 24, 2010.
Mary was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Roundup, Mont. Later the family moved to the Bridger, Mont., area, where she grew up and graduated high school.
She married Raymond in 1942. They had three girls together. They moved to Badger Basin, Wyo., for Raymond to work at the oil refinery. In 1949 they moved to Billings, Mont., for Raymond to work at Conoco Refinery.
Raymond passed away in 1956. Mary went to work as a seamstress at JC Penney for 15 years. She then went to work for Monarch Clothing until they closed. Mary then retired but still continued excellent seamstress work from her home until just about two years ago. Mary also joined the Foster Grandparent Program after retiring, where she volunteered for 15 years. Mary was also a charter member of First Methodist Church. Her favorite times were Christmas Eve and birthday parties with her family. She also enjoyed all-night card games with brothers, sisters and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, daughter (Mary Lee) and grandson (Colby). She is survived by her daughters Dianne Allen and Karen Reinhardt (Bob), 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mary, you will be missed by many, but will finally reunite with Raymond.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Interment will follow at Mountview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Foster Grandparent Program. Michelotti-Sawyers is in charge of arrangements and remembrances may be left for the family at www.michelottisawyers.com.
