Bertha Stewart,
91, of Jenkins, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was born August 8, 1919, in Beefhide, the daughter of the late William Stewart, and the late Delia Mullins Stewart.
She was a member of The Great I Am Church.
She is survived by her son, Buster Stewart of Jenkins; three brothers, Jack Stewart, Bennie Stewart, and Vernie Stewart, all of Jenkins; one sister, Minerva Blevins of Andersonville, TN; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
The visitation will take place at 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, and at 12 p.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday, in the Carty Funeral Homes Polly & Craft Chapel of Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, in the Carty Funeral Homes Polly & Craft Chapel with Danny Hurst officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mullins Cemetery, Smith Branch.
Arrangements are under direction of Carty Funeral Homes of Jenkins.
