"George Nelson, a well known old settler, died at his handsome country home, one and a half miles southeast of the city, yesterday afternoon. He had been ill but a short time, his affliction being cancer of the liver. He was one of the most wealthy residents of the county. He leaves a family of several nearly grown children."
