Death of Samuel C. Tobin
Samuel Clark Tobin died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. L. Wright, on Tuesday, after a very brief illness. Mr. Tobin's wife died November 25, and it is believed the shock of her death and the thoughts of what the separation meant after a married life of forty-eight years of happyness, did much to hasten his death. Just ten days elapsed between their deaths.
Samuel C. Tobin was born in Austinsberg, N. Y., seventy-four years ago, and when only a young man came west. He had lived in Oak Park the last ten years.
The funeral was held at his daughter's residence, 949 Chicago avenue, Thursday afternoon, Rev. W. J. Taylor conducting the services.
The pallbearers were his sons, nephews and grandchildren. Interment was made in Rose Hill. Besides Mrs. F. L. Wright, he is survived by three sons, Charles, Robert and Arthur Tobin.
