Thomas L. Knotts, 91, of 1412 Kennard-Kingscreek Rd. died on Jan 12 at 2:45 a.m. in Mercy Memorial Hospital. He was born in Highland County on August 13, 1885, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Ashmore Knotts.

He was a veteran of WWI and retired from the Wilson Coal and Ice Co, Urbana, Ohio. His wife Etta Darling preceded him in death.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lilly Binder of Kansas City, Ka(should have read MO);two step-daughters, Mrs. Martha Wolfe of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mrs. Elizabeth Richardson of Oxford; one brother, Carl Knotts of Westville; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Higgs of Westville and Mrs. Amanda Messenger of Springfield;five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Kauffman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Nettle Creek Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday.
