Yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Minna Newhouse of Brandon, Johannes Tilleskjor died. He was 81 years old and one of the early settlers of West Moe township, coming here about 1869 and settled on the farm now owned by his son John N. Tilleskjor.
He was born in Norway, where he also married. He came to America and for a while lived in Goodhue county before coming to Douglas county. His wife died twenty-eight years ago. During the past few years he has been living in Wisconsin but recently returned here and stayed with his daughter, Mrs. Newhouse.
The children who remained to mourn his demise are Mrs. Minna Newhouse, Brandon, John N. Tilleskjor of Moe, Ruth Tilleskjor of Virginia, Ammar Tilliskjor, Anna and Johanna. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from the home of Mrs. Newhouse at 1 o'clock and from West Moe church at three o'clock.
