Bessie should not be listed as the daughter of Mahala. Mahala was John Goodwin's third wife and Bessie was born with John's second wife Matilda Sanders, as were Viola, Thomas, and Stella. John's only other children were William and Harry who were children with his first wife Mollie Shields. Harry was buried with John and Mahala, but she was not Harry's mother either.
