Entered service August, 1917 at Rawlins, WY; to Camp Lewis; promoted to Corporal, November 15, 1917; to Sergeant; overseas service; killed at Battle of Argonne, November 10, 1918.

Worked as a railroad conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad in Wyoming before the war.
