Rosary will be said at 5:30 p.m. Friday July 30, 2010 at Quisenberry Funeral Home, 604 E. 4th St., Tonganoxie, KS. Visitation will follow from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and a memorial service will be at 8 p.m.
Jeffrey was born December 30, 1960 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Robert and Carol Henak Jacobs. He was a 1979 graduate of Tonganoxie High School. He was an Iron Worker and a member of the Iron Workers Local Union #10, Kansas City, MO.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Jacobs; 2 sons, Dylan and Jared Jacobs, 2 step-sons, Cody and Jeffrey Sims; 3 daughters, Mandi, Brandi and Courtney Jacobs; 1 step-daughter, Ashley Sims; his parents, Robert and Carol Jacobs and his brother, Scott Jacobs.

Tonganoxie man killed in accident on Kansas Turnpike
A 49year-old Tonganoxie man was killed in an early-morning accident on the Kansas Turnpike Sunday.
Jeffrey Jacobs was driving his 2000 GMC SUV eastbound in Kansas City, Kan., near the Kansas Speedway when the vehicle entered the ditch on the south side of the road, according to a report from the Kansas Turnpike.
Jacobs over-corrected and struck the backside of the guard rail. The vehicle then flipped on its top and traveled upside down more than 200 feet. The vehicle ultimately came to rest on the driver's side door, on the right-hand shoulder.
tThe accident was reported about 3:45 Sunday morning and part of I-70 was shut down for several hours while Kansas Highway Patrol troopers investigated the accident.
