Funeral Services for the Rev Moses Milton Cuby, 92, of 502 N. Blake St Founder and pastor of the New Light Baptist Church for 44 years, will be at noon Thursday in the New Emanuel Baptist Church.
The Rev George SIbley, pastor will officiate. The Rev N. P. Jones will give the sermon.
Burial will be in the Old Emanuel Cemetery under the direction of Combre Funeral Home.
A wake will be held today (Aug. 25) in the New Emanuel Baptist Church beginning at 6 p.m.
The Rev. Mr. Cuby died Saturday at his home following a log illness.
He was also the pastor of the St. James Baptist Church. Concurrently, he had been the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Kinder 46 years. He was past president of the Calcasieu Sunday School Convention of the Calcasieu Baptist Union Association.
He was a member of the Golden Chain Lodge No. 103 of Prince Hall Masons and a member of Queen of the South Chapter No. 14. Order of Eastern Star. He was past grand deputy of the Knights of the Pythias of Keystone Lodge No. 120.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Dicie Cuby and a number of nieces and nephews.
