John R. Adams, aged 67 years, a citizen of Hanover, was stricken with heart failure while walking on the street Saturday evening and died shortly afterward in the storeroom of John F. Foin, the tinner, where he was carried as soon as he was overcome by the fatal illness.

Mr. Adams was one of the most valuable citizens of the borough. He served for a number of years in the town council and his name is engraved in a stone in the oval in centre square as a recognition of his service to the town.
