John W. Cunningham, age 85, of Rural Route 6, Anderson, Indiana, died at the family residence Wednesday evening at 8:30. A carpenter for 50 years, he had retired from his farm 10 years ago. He was born in Pontiac, Illinois, the son of George Cunningham, and came to Anderson 69 years ago.

Surviving are: the widow, Leila V. Cunningham; a son, William of Anderson; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Justice and Mrs. Robert Eichler, both of Anderson; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The body was taken to Nuckols and Carmichael Funeral Home, where friends will be received after 3:00 p.m. Friday. Services will be held in the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, and burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Married twice: first, to Margarett A. Huntzinger (1872-1914) on November 17, 1901; and second, to Leila V. Holder (1877-1964) between 1914 and 1920. Father of:
