Helen T.
Rogers Colledge
Our special mother, grandmother and great grandmother Helen T. Rogers Colledge passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 7, 2007.
She was born in Centerfield, Utah on April 26,1918 as the 2nd of 5 daughters to Glen and Talitha Jensen Tooth. She married Harold Rogers in San Francisco, California on July 16, 1942 and later married Joe Colledge on September 29, 1984.
Living through the ages of horse-drawn buggies to the modern marvels of today gave her insight to guide and bless her family. Because of her faith in Jesus Christ she exemplified and tried to live a higher level of consciousness. Helen's Family took precedence above all else, their comfort and well being was of utmost importance to her.
She brightened lives with more than her green thumb, giving from her garden was a constant, homemade meals were ever present, and we think her favorite was providing a little piece of her beliefs to others by constantly giving of the Christus.
Work was most of Helen's life, even in her later years hard work was something she enjoyed. She devoted her time to serving in the LDS Temple and volunteer work for many organizations.
She was a loving devoted matriarch to 5 children: Judy (Larry) Taylor; Harold Rogers; Jim Rogers; Wayne (Debbie) Rogers; Rick (Wanda) Rogers., 19 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands, two sisters and three grandsons.
Her example of unselfish diligence leaves her posterity with a model to follow.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the American Fork 6th Ward 300 N. 100 E. Friends may call Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens 10600 South 1700 East Sandy, UT. Online condolences may be sent via andersonmortuary.com
