Thelma Gregory Lindsey, 83, of Pulaski died Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born July 1, 1927 in Pulaski County (Allisonia) and was the daughter of the late JIm S. and Mahala Henley Gregory. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allan Paris Lindsey Sr., a son, Michael Gregory Lindsey and brothers, Clayton, Chester and Verlon Gregory. She was a retired employee of Jefferson Mills and worked several years during her retirement at Wendy's in Pulaski. She was a member of the Newbern Community Christian Church. Surviving are, a very special friend, Elizabeth Pope, Pulaski, daughter and her family, Irene Edwards and her husband Gary, Pulaski, granddaughter, Tracy Yvette Haga, Philadelphia, PA, great granddaughter, Justine Haga, great grandson, Jayce Haga, great great granddaughter, Callie Hess, son and his family, Allan Lindsey Jr. and his wife Patricia, Hendersonville, NC, grandsons, Ken Lindsey, Dean Lindsey and his wife, Angel, Kevin Lindsey, great granddaughters, Erin Lindsey, Skyler Lindsey, sisters, Edith Crigger, Dublin, Velma Vaughan (Thelma's twin sister), Salem, Brother, Collen Gregory, Salem.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. from the Newbern Community Christian Church with Minister Ernie Depew officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Thursday evening from Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated but for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to her memory to the Newbern Community Christian Church, 5382 Grace Street, Dublin, VA 24084. The family will be at her home, 988 Memorial Drive, Apt. #30, Pulaski.
