EVELYN JANE KEEFER BARRETT, 82, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a bookkeeper with several area companies. She was a past member of Mary and Martha Guild, previously involved in Steven Ministries, volunteer for Vacation Bible School and The Blessing House. Evelyn was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church.

Survivors include daughter, Sylvia Braun of Avilla; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mark and J. Edward Keefer, both of Fort Wayne; sister, Barbara Williams of Pinehurst, N.C.

Preceeding her in death were her husband, Carroll N. Barrett; two daughters, Nancy and Judy Barrett; one brother, Richard Keefer.

Service is 10 a.m. Monday at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley ParkFuneral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road.
