He was born and raised in Boonville, Ind., on April 13, 1926, to George E and Ethel M. Crowe.
Herbert Crowe was a hardworking, dedicated individual. He joined the United States Armed Forces and served his country honorably. He retired from Alcan Aluminum in Robards, Ky., where he worked for over 20 years. He faithfully attended Watkins Temple Church of God in Christ, where he served as a Deacon.
Herbert is survived by sister, Doris G. Garnett, of Oakland Calif.; children, Daryl Wade, Kwan Durall, Eric Crowe, all of Indianapolis; Randall Crowe, Endia Crowe, Tal Crowe and Terry Lester all of Evansville; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; family members; and many friends.
Final arrangements are entrusted to the Osborne Funeral Home. The wake service will be at Watkins Temple Church located at 670 S. Governor Street, on Sunday, June 13, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m., and the funeral service will be held at Watkins Temple Church on Monday, June 14, 2010, at 1 p.m.
