Caroline was graduated from the former Millersville State Teacher's College and taught for 35 years in the Lampeter-Strasburg School District. Also a farmer's wife, she stood on Central Market at the former Harnish Poultry for many years. She was a life member of Willow Street United Church of Christ. A very creative person, Caroline enjoyed art, gardening, traveling and collecting antiques. She loved playing cards.
Born in Strasburg Township, she was the daughter of the late Wenger and Maud (Harnish) Ranck. Caroline is survived by a daughter, Rebecca H. married to Vincent J. Lattanzio of Willow Street, a son, Samuel J. Harnish of Lancaster, four grandchildren, Annie Lattanzio Hale, Kate Lattanzio, Charles Lattanzio and Joe Lattanzio, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna H. Ranck, and brothers, J. Harold Ranck, A. Milton Ranck and Samuel H. Ranck.
