She married Jan Tucholsky on July 11, 1923 in Crabtree, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
At the time of her marriage she resided in Greenwald, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and worked at the Westmoreland Glass Factory in Grapeville, Pennsylvania near Jeannette. The Westmoreland Glass Factory was closed in 1984 and the majority of the structure burned to the ground in 1995.
She had gave birth to a total of ten children. Two sets of twins that died shortly after they were born. One child was still-born. The five children living to adulthood, in order of birth are: Victoria A. "Vicky", Martha, Mildred "Millie", John (my father), and Robert "Bobby".
She loved visiting with her grandchildren and playing checkers with them. Her greatest joy later in life was going on vacations with her daughter Vicky to visit shrines. She enjoyed: quite times; praying the rosary; and going to mass. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree and the Slovak Rosary Society.
Surprisingly, she also enjoyed watching wrestling on television. Like the time when we came to visit and she was watching it on television with her arm curled up next to her, like a head lock. And my father asked her what she was doing. She said "I am helping the other guy." :)
She died on November 3, 1981 at Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg, Pennsylvania from an Acute Bowel Obstruction secondary to an Acute Mesenteric Thrombosis and Mitral Stenosis as a consequence of diabetes. Services were held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Crabtree. She is interred with her husband, John, at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
