Margaret C. Bruce
WESTBOROUGH — Margaret C. Bruce, 87, of Westborough, and formerly of Needham and Yarmouthport, died on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

She was the wife of the late James W. "Bill" Bruce.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred (Anderson) Hoffman. She was educated in Melrose schools and graduated from the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School.

Mrs. Bruce was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Yarmouthport. An avid golfer, she was a member of the Cummaquid Golf Club and the Kings Way Golf Club.

Margaret is survived by two sons, William B. Bruce of Windham, N.H., and Robert E. Bruce of Ashland; a daughter, Laurie C. Sanborn of Orange, N.H.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Evelyn McGrath and Louise Rautenberg.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 3, in the First Congregational Church of Yarmouthport, 329 Route 6A, Yarmouthport. Burial in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouthport, will be private.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018.
