Liddie Ethel (Neely) Barnes, 84, a native area resident, died at 5:15 a.m. Monday in Cushing.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the sanctuary of the Love of God Tabernacle of Pawhuska with the Revs. Bob Sullivan and James Hager officiating. The cortege will drive overland to the Oglesby Cemetery where graveside rites will be directed by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held in the drawing rooms of the Arnold Moore Funeral Residence until Wednesday morning.
An Oklahoma native, Mrs. Barnes was born Oct. 20, 1914 in the Hogshooter community of southern Washington County to George Alexander and Annie (Larimore) Neely. She received her education in the rural Starr School near Oologah in Rogers County.
She and Frank Lindsey Barnes were married Dec. 2, 1932 at Claremore and they made their home in the Skiatook area west of Tulsa until 1942 when Mr. Barnes was transferred to Arkansas City, Kan., with Great Lakes Pipeline Co. In 1946, the Barnes family moved to Cushing where they remained until Mr. Barnes retired and entered the full time ministry. The Rev. and Mrs. Barnes moved to Pawhuska in 1964 to establish the Love of God Tabernacle. In November 1998, they returned to Cushing to live near their son.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Lindsey, of Cushing; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Arlene of Cushing and Bruce and Teddi of Moore; a daughter, Juanita Herrin, of Bartlesville; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Smith; and three brothers, Glenn Quinton, Fred Neely and Bob Neely of Sacramento, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, four brothers, five sisters and her step-mother, Clara Quinton Neely.
