Rita Hoyle - ERWIN
ERWIN — Mrs. Rita Hoyle, Age 81, Erwin, died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit following a lengthy illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Blaine and Zora Tilson Guinn. Mrs. Hoyle was a retired employee of Morrill Motors, where she had worked for over twenty years. She had also worked at Southern Pottery as a painter. Mrs. Hoyle was a member of the Clear Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and made a lot of her own clothes.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Hoyle was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Hoyle, in 1997; a brother, Dwight Guinn; sister, Dean Treadway; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Hartsell Hoyle, Lester Shell and Edna Lee Guinn.
Survivors include: Her son and daughter-in-law, Teddy and Cynthia Hoyle, Erwin; Sisters, Eva Martin, Erwin, Kathleen Hoyle, Greene County, Eloise Shell, Erwin, Dorothea "Dot" Corn and husband, Harry, Erwin; Brother, Jim Howard Guinn, Erwin; Grandchildren, Melissa Jo Huskins and husband, Jerad, Erwin, Caleb Andrew Hoyle, Erwin; Great grandson, Lincoln Slade Huskins; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Hoyle will be held at 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 15, 2010, from the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Bill Ponder will officiate. Music will be provided by Queenie Wheeler and Inez Chandler. Pallbearers will be Caleb Hoyle, Jerad Huskins, Eddie and Keith Corn, Roger Dale Guinn, Anthony Piercy, Bruce and Tony Stephenson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of her son, 109 Otis Wilson Road, Erwin.
Committal service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday in Clear Branch Cemetery. Family, minister, pallbearers and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M. Sunday.
