Mar 17, 1904Lafayette, Indiana Daily Courier, Thursday March 17, 1809 - p8Greenbush Cemetery, Lafayette, Tippecanoe county, IndianaThis morning at 7:30 o'clock George S Taylor passed away at the Home hospital after being confined in that institution for a week. A complication of heart trouble and rheumatism was the cause of his demise. He was born November 8, 1848, in this city. George Taylor was one of the best known men in Lafayette. He had resided here all his life and during his long residence made friends that were legion. He was a painter and grainier and was an expert at his business. For a number of years he has conducted a shop at 407 North Third street. Mr Taylor was a man of generous impulse and of excellent traits. He was a lover of athletic sports and was an enjoyable companion. His wife died several years ago and no relatives survive. The remains were removed to Folckemer's undertaking establishment to await interment.
