Henry immigrated with his parents when has 2 years old and grew up in Addison Township, Du Page County Illinois. In 1855 when he was 22years old he moved 35 miles SE to Cooper's Grove in Bremen Twp, Cook County, IL. Here, in 1855, he became a naturalized citizen and married. After 3 children, He and Maria moved to Eitzen, Minnesota in 1860/61. Henry's wife, Maria died 1868 and he remarried Anna Holt. In 1878, when the rail line was completed to Ward, Dakota Territory, Henry and his family moved west once again. In 1916, Henry died in Ward, SD.
