John's will was proved 20 August 1733 at Black River (now Chester, N.J.)
John and Freelove had 3 children: John Culver b. 1728; Jabez Culver b. 1731; and Jonas Culver b. 1733. After her husband's death Freelove returned to Groton with her 3 children.
The boys were raised under guardianship of Isaac Lamb and John Waterhouse.
It seems likely that John Colver 1700-1733 would be buried in the Old Rogerene Cemetery which is most likely located at Shore Hills Park. Streets in the area surrounding the Park are named after other families known to be living at the Rogerene community in the early 1700's - Rogers, Vail, and Colver.
