Mrs. Clarissa Ashley died Monday at the home of her daughter near New Martinsville. The remains were brought to Seaman and taken to the Sims Cemetery on Cains Run where burial was made on Wednesday. She is survived by a son Will Ashley, of Parkersburg, and Mrs. T. J. Brown of Cains Run is her daughter. Frank and Will Thorn of near Palestine are brothers of the deceased.
Her first husband was Daniel Benson Ashley and her second husband was Henry C. Barnhouse; whom she married on July 16, 1893 in Wirt County, West Virginia.
