I believe this is the Joseph Conroy associated with the Conroy Supermarket located on the corners of 3rd Street & Sexton Streets as well as the corner of 3rd Street & Arthur Streets. Conroy's although larger than Towne's, Byrne's, Lieland's, & Farthing's was one of the many neighborhood markets in Rushville.
I also remember Joe years later from the bowling alley and seeing him on league night. Always a nice man.
