Dorothy Bevins Hobbes
Utica - Dorothy Bevins Hobbes, 44, of 12 Cornwall Ave., died Monday, May 9, 1983 in St. Elizabeth Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Utica, N.Y., June 15, 1938, the daughter of Leo A. and Josephine O´Connor Bevins. She attended Utica Catholic Academy, Mohawk Valley Community College and Utica College. Mrs. Hobbes was an x-ray technician and was employed by the Little Falls Hospital and St. Luke´s Hospital. She as a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and St. John´s Church. Mrs. Hobbes was also a member of the St. John´s Parish Center and the Secular Order of St. Francis.
She is survived by one daughter, Miss Maureen O. Hobbes of Deerfield; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bevins, Utica; two sisters, Mrs. James R. (Patty) Neary of Deerfield, and Mrs. Thomas C. (Joan) Warren of Union City, Ca., she is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro St., and at 2 o´clock from Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro. Friends are invited. Calling hours are Wednesday evening 7-9 and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9.
