OMEGA -- Betty Braddy Baker, 69, of Omega, died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Omega Baptist Church. The Rev. Steve Moon will officiate. Burial will follow at Omega Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark Lott, Tim Daniel, Don Potash, Ernest Harris, Andy Hornbuckle and Steve Whittington.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Tift Regional Medical Center and the deacons of Omega Baptist Church.

Born Oct. 15, 1932, in Butts County, Mrs. Baker was the daughter of Isaac Thomas Braddy and Ruby Kate Maddox Braddy, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wesley Baker, who died in 1981.

Mrs. Baker was retired from Tift Regional Medical Center and was a member of Omega Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Wesley Tommy Baker of Omega and Don Baker of High Springs, Fla.; one daughter, Renee Swain of Omega; and her grandchildren, Wes and Wendy Baker, Chris and Christy Baker, Jordan Baker, Jacob Baker, Heather Swain and Casey Swain.
