Funeral of Mrs Krewson To Be Held Saturday
Drain, May 18 -- The death of Mrs Ann E Krewson, which occurred at the home of her son, Thomas Krewson, in north Drain early Thursday morning, marked the passing of another Oregon pioneer. Mrs Krewson was the widow of the late John W Krewson, who died in November, 1906, her age being about 94 years. Mr and Mrs Krewson and their family crossed the plains with mule team in the late sixties and located on the claim of a Mr Chitwood for which they traded the mule team, and her death occurred on the same claim, in North Drain.
Grandma Krewson, as she was familiarly known, was a devoted wife and mother, a kind neighbor and was highly respected by all who knew her. Of her six children she is survived only by her son, Thomas Krewson, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at the Christian church, of which the deceased was a member, on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and burial will be in the cemetery just north of town.
