Cora Bell Copeland, age 70, of Sherman, Texas, passed away Monday, July 31, 2000, in a Denison, Texas, hospital.

Graveside services were held at the Cache Creek Cemetery with Reverend Lee Hembree officiating. Services were under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Copeland was born August 22, 1929, in Benjamin, Texas, the daughter of the late John B. and Willie Mae Blackburn Moore.

She married Johnnie Thomas Copeland on November 5, 1958, in Benjamin. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1994.

She worked at the Red and White Laundry in Seymour. She had lived in Sherman for the past 28 years, where she was employed as a Nurses Aide at the Chapel of Care Nursing Home. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Becky Ford of Denison; by two sons, Wayne McMorris of Seymour and Mike McMorris of Sherman; by two sisters, Doris Davis of Dierks, Arkansas, and Nell Moore of Midland, Texas; by three brothers, Lorenzo Moore and Ernest Moore, both of Seymour, and John Bill Moore of Dierks, Arkansas; by 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
