On Dec. 19, 1937, Albert married Ruth Deines at the German Congregational Church in Fort Collins.
After their marriage, the couple was in the farming and cattle feeding business for 28 years in the Fort Collins area. Albert was a lifelong member of Plymouth Congregational Church. He served on the church council and was actively involved in the construction of the church. He also was a member of the VFW and a past member of the American Legion. The greatest joy in Albert’s life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fishing, hunting, and gardening were Albert’s hobbies during his retirement years. He also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in athletic events.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Frank of Fort Collins; a daughter, Beverly Strobel and her husband, Calvin, of Drake; four grandchildren, Curt Strobel of Fort Collins, Kristi Niswender of Greeley, Steve Strobel of Englewood, and Scott Strobel of Loveland; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Dee Southwick of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; a stepbrother, Reuben Ehrlich of Milliken and several nieces and nephews.
