The funeral service for Annie Lou Aderholt, 79, of Athens will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Greg Lauderback, James Adams and Barry Howard officiating.

Mrs. Aderholt passed away Monday, March 29, 2010, at home. She was born February 13, 1931, to Robert Franklin Howard and Evie Dean McCarty Howard in Wellington, Alabama. She was a member of the West Highland Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for approximately 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evie Howard; two brothers, Alvin Howard and Cecil Howard; and one sister, Sue Jennings.

Mrs. Aderholt is survived by her husband, Leroy Aderholt of Athens; sons, Gary Aderholt and wife Rae Ann, Glenn Aderholt and wife Melissa, and Darin Aderholt and wife Lisa, all of Athens; daughter, Pam Taylor and husband Jeff of Athens; brothers, Edward Howard, Raymond Howard, Laymond Howard and Ralph Howard, all of Calhoun County; sisters, Lois Jones of Calhoun County and Mildred Schrimsher of Athens; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
