My Great grandfather i didnt get to know him ,i was doing a family tree and found information on him and hes wife Louisa and family also their son(my grandfather Louis John Joseph Higgins)this is what i found he married Ada 19th Dec 1886 which i mentioned above,so he would of emigrated about 1886 from Ireland to Tasmania, he was 16 years in Tasmania and 40 years in Victoria retired wharf labourer buried beside Louisa Ada Cashen at Fawkner cemetery Victoria Australia Church of England section and i searched Fawkner cemetery and found most of my ancestors there.
