Graveside services for Mrs. Jimmie Ruth Allen, 64, of Sallis were held Monday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen, who was employed with the Durant Public School Cafeteria, died Dec. 27, 2008 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was a native of Attala County and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Burton Allen; son, Steven Allen of Kosciusko; three sisters, Brenda Eaves of Louisville, Doris Campbell and Karen McCrory of Ethel; three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Burton Allen Jr., daughter, Vickie Allen and brother, Jerry McCrory.
