J.C. RUMSEY, 59, OF HESSVILLE KILLS HIMSELF

JULIUS CLAUDE RUMSEY, 59, of 6918 Arizona avenue, a prominent Hessville business man, committed suicide at his home at 10:30 this morning using a .38 caliber revolver.

He had been in ill health for several weeks.

Rumsey was a leading member of the Christian church of Hessville and owned and operated a filling station at the corner of 169th street and Arizona avenue.

He had slipped quietly into a rear bedroom to end his life. He was dead when members of his family reached him.

Dr. William Howard, who had taken care of Rumsey during his recent illness, was called.

Hessville was thrown into a state of confusion when a report of the suicide reached the people.
