Justine Magsig, 88 of Elmore died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born March 4, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late William and Justine (Morris) Sterner. On August 27, 1953 she married Calvin Magsig and he survives. Mrs. Magsig was an Academic Advisor for the Environmental Studies Department at Bowling Green State University. She was a member of St. Paul Trinity United Methodist Church, Elmore. She was an avid painter, environmentalist, and Girl Scout Leader for many years. Mrs. Magsig enjoyed quilting and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years Calvin, of Elmore; children Sam Harrison, Laura Magsig-Hartley, and step daughter Becky Magsig and grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Celebration at Shedel Gardens in Elmore Thursday, February 11 from 4-6pm. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ottawa County Humane Society or the Toledo Zoo. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.crosserfuneralhome.com.
