Albert Schmidt, 72 years old, a Confederate veteran, died this morning at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Schmidt, 211 Narp street. He was born in Rudolstadt, Saxony, Germany, and had been a resident of San Antonio for the last 58 years. He enlisted at the outbreak of the civil war and served throughout. Surviving besides his sister-in-law are three nephews and four neices. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning from 211 Narp street and burial will be made in the Confederate Cemetery.
