James Elias Aslan Palm Bay James Elias Aslan, 60, of Palm Bay, FL, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his residence under the loving care of his family and Vitas Hospice of Brevard County.
Mr. James E. Aslan was a Manufacturing Engineer with Northrop Grumman for over 28 years before retiring in 2006. Mr. Aslan was a native of Jacksonville, FL, attended the University of Tampa where he played on the football team, and graduated with his Associate Degree from Jones College in 1994.
He moved to Palm Bay in 2000 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Melbourne, Army National Guard of Florida 1971-1974, United States Army 1971-1973, Army National Guard of New York 1981-1984, and Vietnam War Veteran.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Lisa (Daniels) Aslan of Palm Bay; three children, James Scott Aslan (Katie), Palm Bay, Jessica Ann Aslan (Nicholas Daily), Palm Bay, and Timothy Joseph Aslan (Karissa Myers), Palm Bay; two grandchildren, Emerson Grace and Broden James Aslan; brothers, David Aslan and Tommy Aslan; sister, Donna (Aslan) Drake, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. at the Riverside Memorial Park and Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. Funeral will be Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park and Town and Country Funeral Home.
There will be a memorial service at First Baptist Church of Melbourne at a following date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The , 1260 U.S. Highway 1, Ste 201, Rockledge, FL 32955.
