Clarksburg Area Resident Was 95
Funeral services for Mrs Orpha M Barnard, 95, a resident of the Clarksburg community most of her life, were held in Rushville at 2 p.m. Monday.
Officiating was the Rev Doug Parkey, pastor of the Clarksburg Christian Church, of which Mrs. Barnard was a member. Burial was in the Clarksburg Cemetery.
She died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday shortly after being admitted to Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs Barnard had been a patient at Slone's Nursing Home here in recent months and had been seriously ill about two months.
A native of Rush County, she was born Dec 7, 1876.
She was the widow of James F Barnard, who preceded her in death April 21, 1948.
Surviving are one son, Roy M Barnard, Cincinnati; two daughters, Mrs Howard (Mary) VanOsdol, Cincinnati and Mrs Elsie Linville, Clarksburg, 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Two sons, one daughter and one stepson preceded her in death.
