The fourth of nine children born to James Weddle & Sarah Jane (Snider) Kennedy of Nashville, Brown Co IN, Elsie married:
1) John Franklin "Frank" Mosier on 12 Jan 1901 in Brown Co IN; he died 19 Oct 1926, the son of John Patterson & Martha Jane (Callahan) Mosier of Indianapolis, Marion Co IN. They had eleven children, five sons and six daughters. My father was born just 18 days before his father died.
2) Guy Arthur Scofield 24 Sep 1927 in Hamilton Co IN, the son of Walter C & Amanda Jane (Wooley) Scofield of Ripley Co IN. They had one son.
My father was in the Navy, so generally we lived far from Indiana and visits were few. But I recall one reunion when we were at Grandma's house. She and her daughters were making breakfast for a huge number of family. Grandma was a short lady, very small, but she seemed to have a lot of energy on that day as she scurried around the kitchen.
There are only a few memories of my Grandma, but I will always treasure them. When she died, we lived in California. Mom and I both listened on the other line as my Dad cried when told his Mom had passed away. Rest in Peace dear Grandma, we all love you. Now you and your children are together.
