OSBORNE --- Darlene R. Becker, 65, Osborne, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at a Salina hospital.

Mrs. Becker had worked on the housekeeping staff at Parkview Care Center in Osborne from 1961 to 1973.

She was born July 23, 1936, at Lecompton, to Vern Swallow and Esther Unger Swallow. She had lived at Osborne since 1973, earlier living near Dispatch.

Mrs. Becker was a member of the Downs United Methodist Church in Downs and also attended the Osborne United Methodist Church in Osborne. She was a member of the Irving Community Club, at Downs and Cawker City.

She married Herman Becker. He survives.

Survivors also include a son, Alan Becker, Salina; a brother, Alvin Becker, Lawrence; and one grandchild.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Clark-Gashaw Chapel, Osborne. Inurnment will be in Osborne Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society.
